A joint initiative

ABOUT US

Stellar Women is an initiative organized by bti & The Daily Star to recognize emerging and promising women who have made notable contributions to society and nation-building. This initiative aims to provide a platform for women who may not yet be widely recognized, but have significant potential to contribute to society and the country in the future. Following the successful completion of the last two editions, the program will continue to honor outstanding individuals. Every two months, two women from two different sectors will be awarded, covering six different categories throughout the year.

CATEGORIES

Entrepreneur

This category celebrates women engaged in entrepreneurial ventures, whether independently or as part of a team. The enterprise or initiative should demonstrate a meaningful impact on the local, regional, or national economy, while also contributing positively to society. Women leading their own startups, technology-driven enterprises, or successfully managing SMEs are encouraged to apply.

Corporate

This category celebrates female professionals working across corporate organizations, SMEs, agencies, and nonprofit organizations. Their work should demonstrate a significant contribution to society or nation-building as a whole.

Architect

This category recognizes female architects who have successfully undertaken projects that positively contribute to society and nation-building. Applicants must be accredited with the Institute of Architects Bangladesh (IAB). They must also have submitted a portfolio of 3 to 5 projects (at least 3 implemented).

Sports

This category celebrates any sportswoman who has achieved magnificent feats in the past year. Both national & international achievements must be shown as proof (certificates/awards/other recognitions) to be considered for this initiative. Applicants should have achieved significant accomplishments or set exemplary standards in the field of sports.

Art & Culture

This category recognizes women working in the field of art and culture who have made meaningful contributions to society. Candidates will be evaluated based on outstanding achievements at the national and/or international level throughout their careers, with particular focus on accomplishments in the past year. Applicants must submit a detailed portfolio of their work, including photographs or samples of relevant work where they are available.

Banks & Financial Institutions

This category celebrates women working in banks and financial institutions who have achieved remarkable accomplishments or initiated impactful initiatives within their field. Candidates will be evaluated based on their positive and transformative contributions to society, demonstrating leadership, innovation, and meaningful impact in the financial sector.

TERMS & CONDITIONS

  • 1. Any emerging and impactful women holding Bangladeshi nationality, except employees of bti & The Daily Star, and have been doing significant things that have impacted other lives & contributed to society, will be eligible for submission.
  • 2. The Daily Star holds the right to cross-check & verify at any point in the program to ensure credibility of the submission.
  • 3. There is no registration fee.
  • 4. Once you submit your applications, they cannot be edited. If you need to correct something crucial, you can resubmit your application before the deadline.
