ABOUT US

Stellar Women is an award program organized by The Daily Star and bti to recognize emerging and promising women who have made notable contributions to society and nation-building. This initiative aims to provide a platform for women who may not yet be widely recognized but have significant potential to contribute to society and the country in the future. Following the successful completion of the last two sessions, the program will continue to honor outstanding individuals. Each month, one woman from a diverse range of sectors will be awarded, covering six different categories throughout the year.

CATEGORIES

Entrepreneur

This category celebrates women engaged in entrepreneurial ventures, whether independently or as part of a team. The enterprise or initiative should demonstrate a meaningful impact on the local, regional, or national economy, while also contributing positively to society. Women leading their own startups, technology-driven enterprises, or successfully managing SMEs are encouraged to apply.

Architect (Residential & Commercial)

This category recognizes female architects who have successfully undertaken residential and commercial projects that contribute positively to society. Applicants or nominees must meet the following criteria: a. Must be an Associate Member of Institute of Architects Bangladesh (IAB) b. Must submit a portfolio of three to five completed projects (with at least three implemented projects required)

Corporate

This category celebrates female marketing professionals working across corporate organizations, SMEs, agencies, and nonprofit sectors. Their work should demonstrate a significant contribution to society as a whole.

Sports

Here we will celebrate any sportswoman who has achieved magnificent feats in 2024 to be titled Sportswoman of the Year in 2025. Both national and international achievements will be taken into consideration. Her achievements must be shown as proof (certificates, awards, or any other recognitions will work). Who has achieved magnificent feats or set examples in the field of Sports.

Art & Culture

This category recognizes women working in the field of art and culture who have made meaningful contributions to society. Candidates will be evaluated based on outstanding achievements at the national and/or international level throughout their careers, with particular focus on accomplishments in 2025. Applicants or nominees must submit a detailed portfolio of their work, including photographs or samples where applicable.

Banking & Financial Institutions

This category celebrates women working in banks and financial institutions who have achieved remarkable accomplishments or initiated impactful initiatives within their field. Candidates will be evaluated based on their positive and transformative contributions to society, demonstrating leadership, innovation, and meaningful impact in the financial sector.

TERMS & CONDITIONS

  • 1. Any emerging and impactful woman holding Bangladeshi nationality, except the employees of both bti & The Daily Star, who have been significantly impacting others’ lives, will be eligible for registration/ nomination.
  • 2. The Daily Star holds the right to cross-check & verify at any point of the program to ensure the credibility of the submission.
  • 3. There are no fees for registration/ nomination.
  • 4. Once a registration/ nomination has been submitted, it cannot be edited. If you need to correct something crucial, you can resubmit your application before the deadline.
  • 5. If you are registering your name within a category (as part of a larger initiative), please keep in mind that you must be able to show stats or numbers to back up your achievements.
